Eventually, "modern" Keynesian economics and fiat currency will fail to wag the dog ;
If the dog refuses to be wagged, I'll bet gov-co will
make the only move it can: increase the dose of "stimulant"

and President Obama orders another big dose
of "economic stimulation," that could mean hyper-inflation.

Security (DHS) memo obtained by Senator
Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa).
"The document shows
the Obama administration
scheming to allow millions
of illegal immigrants to stay
and work in the United States,"
Smith said.
"The Obama administration
is conspiring to implement amnesty
without any Congressional action."

Assault on the First Amendment by the Fascist Saboteurs from the Global Commie Unionist Corporate Criminal Regimes ;
For those of you who believe in bygone notions
like free speech rights and the ability to criticize
politicians when they do things like nationalize 1/5
of the U.S. economy, you better take advantage
of that while you can.
Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV)
has filed for cloture on the DISCLOSE Act,
S. 3628, which is intended to overturn the
Supreme Court's decision in Citizens United
and impose burdensome new disclosure
requirements.
The cloture vote will probably occur Tuesday
in a move that avoids committee hearings.
If Reid can get 60 votes,
then the Schumer/Van Hollen
Sedition Act of 2010 will proceed to a vote.
At that point,
he will only need 51 senators
who believe Congress has the ability
to circumvent and restrict the First Amendment.
Senator Schumer also introduced a new version
of S. 3628 which differs slightly from the version
passed in the House, H.R. 5175.
For example, it drops the ban on political speech
introduced by Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) by holders
of oil drilling leases on the Outer Continental Shelf,
which is a slight improvement over the House version.
But the differential treatment between corporations
and unions is still present in the new, refined, and
"improved" bill, as are all of the other worst
provisions of the original version

has released its updated federal budget projections.
By releasing the report late on Friday afternoon-
a longtime Washington tradition for stories that politicians
want to bury-the Obama Administration is effectively
admitting that its budget numbers will not be well-received.
The "Mid-Session Budget Review"
projects that this year's budget deficit will reach
$1.471 trillion, or 10 percent of the economy.
In nominal dollars,
it's the largest deficit in American history.
As a percentage of the economy,
it's the largest deficit since World War II.
This will be the second consecutive year
of trillion-dollar deficits that approach
10 percent of the economy.
By comparison, the previous
post-World War II record was
6 percent of the economy in 1983.
Under President George W. Bush,
deficits typically ranged between $160 billion
and $400 billion (around 3 percent of the economy).
And the Obama Administration concedes
that these large deficits are here to stay.
It projects another $1.4 trillion deficit in 2011,
followed by sustained deficits that never fall
below $698 billion.
The national debt held by the public-
$5.8 trillion at the end of 2008-would soar
to $18.5 trillion by the end of this decade.
These future deficits are driven
almost exclusively by rising spending.
President Obama's budget would push
inflation-adjusted federal spending past
$36,000 per household by 2020-
$12,000 above the level that prevailed
under President Bush.
Even President Obama's enormous
and anti-growth $3 trillion tax increase
proposal won't stop this spending spree
from pushing the national debt to economically

with our nation's founding principles.
Thomas Jefferson wrote
in the Declaration of Independence
that when a government no longer meets the
needs of the governed, it is open to alteration.
Arizona's reaction is therefore mild.
Instead of abolishing federal authority,
or supplanting federal statutes, the state has
upheld both in enforcing the existing national law.
States aren't obligated to tie their hands or turn their
heads when Washington ignores its assignments.
If that were the case, what would happen
if Washington ignored its duties in other areas?
Reconsider Article I, Section 8,
which not only establishes the federal
government's naturalization powers, but
also compels Congress to "provide for
the common defense ... of the United States."
If a foreign power were to invade
one of the several states, the national
government would be constitutionally
responsible for repelling the invaders.
Suppose Washington simply refused to
deploy the armed forces to the besieged state?
Would that state be constitutionally bound
to accept the occupying force, since its defense
is an established federal duty?
Only the most naïve pacifist
would accept such a proposition.

are being invaded by an ongoing onslaught of illegal

The entire country is feeling the effects
of this invasion, but the Border States
are literally under siege.
And not only does the federal government
do nothing to protect the states against this
invasion, it actively wars against states such

company to cut through all the bureaucratic
red tape.
While BP attempts to cap
the Deep Water Horizon well, it
has to be remembered that the government
forced BP to drill at a depth of 5,000 feet,
one of the deepest wells ever drilled, creating
the crisis.
BP had wanted to drill at a depth of 500 feet.
The result of the blowout
has been that the government, Obama,
and Democrats in Congress have threatened
and talked down BP and its efforts.
On the one hand, they require BP to obtain
approvals from the government to move forward,
while on the other hand they vilify the BP president
and CEO during Congressional hearings, due to
the government's own delays

R.I.N.O. Fascist Saboteurs from the Global Commie Unionist Corporate Criminal Regimes ;
With help from three Republican senators
who crossed the aisle, the Democrat-controlled
Senate Thursday handed President Obama what
could be regarded as his greatest victory to date --
approving the 2,315-page financial regulatory bill
two weeks after the House had passed the measure.
Titled the Frank-Dodd
Wall Street Reform and Consumer
Protection act, after Connecticut Sen.
Chris Dodd and Massachusetts Rep.
Barney Frank, the Democratic committee
chairmen who authored the bill, it's intended
to usher in the stiffest regulatory restrictions on
the American economy since the Great Depression.
Although the Democrats hold
a clear majority in the Senate, they
needed a super majority of 60 votes
to overcome a Republican filibuster.
Sen. Robert Byrd's death two weeks ago
left a seat vacant, causing Democrats to
scramble about to make sure they had
the votes needed for passage.
The problem was solved
when Republican Sens. Susan Collins
and Olympia Snowe, both of Maine,
and Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts
announced their support for the measure Monday

The left has no desire to defend capitalism,
foster competition, or accomplish their vision
of social justice via private channels.
They have only an insatiable lust for control.
Leftists promote nothing new;
their goals are those of an archaic doctrine.
Forward thinking isn't featured in their agenda,
the purpose of which is to repackage policies that
are proven failures.
"Bolshevik" is more descriptive than "progressive,"
for the left shares the Bolshevik's socialistic dreams.
They are mired in the past,
rendering "progressive" an inappropriate description.
Socialist ideals quickly co-opted the early
Progressive movement, giving the title a black eye.
Leftists then adopted "Liberal,"
a more inviting identifier, but one
that also defies their agenda.
"Liberal" spawns from the Latin "liberalis"
and "liber" meaning noble, generous, and free.
A genuine liberal bristles at authoritarian
attitudes and fulfills the nature of the word.
America's leftists, conversely, are adamant
in their support for a domineering central
government and generous only when
distributing their neighbors' property.
Leftist liberalism defines not
freedom, but the welfare state.
Their concept of liberalism
frees one segment of society
to live at another segment's expense.
Leftists then pat each other on the back
for their thoughtfulness and generosity.
It is indeed a warped vision.
Leftists have moved from Progressives
to Liberals and back to Progressives, but
in name only, never in definition.
Their quasi-metamorphosis
results from their ever-present
collectivist mentality.
Once the public realizes
the agenda behind the name,
the name is changed to obfuscate the agenda

The passive approach
of crossing our fingers and hoping Washington
will follow the Constitution has not worked.
The only surprising thing about it
is that anyone could have expected
it to work in the first place.
It is long past time
for those of us who want
to confine the federal government to its
constitutional limits to try something different.
The time has come to revisit nullification,
the quintessentially American mode of resistance
against federal lawlessness that Thomas Jefferson
urged as an essential ingredient of our political system.
In the Kentucky Resolutions of 1798,
Jefferson insisted that the states needed
a way to defend themselves against unconstitutional
exercises of power by the federal government.
Jefferson's fear was
that if the federal government
had a monopoly on defining the
scope of its own powers, it would
be constantly discovering new ones.
Likewise, James Madison urged
in the Virginia Resolutions of 1798
that the states were "duty bound to resist"
when the federal government violated
the Constitution.
(The reader will not be surprised to learn
that Bill Clinton held no White House soiree
in honor of the two hundredth anniversary
of these documents in 1998.)
These principles were used
for honorable purposes throughout
antebellum American history.
Virginia and Kentucky
used them on behalf of free speech.
The New England states
employed them against unconstitutional
searches and seizures.
Numerous northern states
used them against fugitive slave laws,
provisions of which they considered
unconstitutional notwithstanding the
Constitution's fugitive-slave clause.
More than six decades after
Jefferson penned the immortal words
of the Kentucky Resolutions, the legislature
of Wisconsin quoted them word for word
in defense of its defiance of such laws

Days after suing Arizona for "intruding"
on the government's authority by passing
a state version of its immigration laws, the
Obama Administration has revealed that it
will also ignore violations of the federal statute.
A Justice Department official confirmed
in a news report this week that the agency
will not take any action against cities that defy
a 14-year-old federal law by offering
illegal immigrants sanctuary.
The measure
(Illegal Immigration Reform
and Immigration Responsibility Act of 1996)
specifically requires states and municipalities to
cooperate with federal authorities when it comes
to immigration enforcement.
For decades,
dozens of local governments
have provided illegal aliens with
sanctuary by shielding them from
the feds after arrests or criminal
convictions and banning police from
inquiring about suspects'
immigration status.
Judicial Watch has sued
several major police departments-
including Los Angeles and Chicago-
for their illegal don't-ask-don't tell
immigration policies, which have enabled violent
criminals to continue victimizing innocent Americans.
Numerous illegal immigrants
with extensive criminal records
have committed atrocious crimes
because they were never deported,
despite repeated encounters with local
law enforcement agencies in sanctuary cities.

a violent gang member who
murdered a high school football star
in Los Angeles, another gangbanger
who gunned down a teenage honor student
on a Maryland bus and a drunken driver who
